LAKE WORTH- Melanie Garbarsky poured in 31 points as Trinity Christian won their season opener 51-28 over Inlet Grove High School on Tuesday.

Replacing six letter winners from last season, the young Warriors came out with something to prove early in the game. They jumped out to a 12-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, paced by 10 points from Garbarsky.  Utilizing an uptempo offense and a swarming pressure defense, TCA had the Hurricanes on their heels throughout the first half.  The Warriors took a 27-10 lead to the break and never looked back.

Allison Eloy, Emily Castillo, Gigi Licamara, Alyssa Jean-Gilles, and Katelynn Ruh also scored for the Warriors.

Trinity is 1-0 and travels to North Broward Prep for a tough non-district matchup on Thursday.
