LAKE WORTH- Trinity Christian is a small school with a big athletic tradition. Over the last three decades, TCA has had over 100 student athletes sign with college or professional teams.

More than a dozen former TCA baseball players have played professional baseball, headlined by catcher Shawn Zarraga who was called up with the Dodgers and also played for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic. Recent graduates Edmond Americaan (Chicago Cubs) and Aldrich de Jongh (Los Angeles Dodgers) are currently heralded prospects in rookie ball with their respective organizations. Kaeber Rog (Florida International, pictured), Angel Tiburcio (Florida International), and BJ Murray (Florida Atlantic) are among several recent TCA graduates playing division one baseball.

Baseball is not the only sport boasting of players at the professional or collegiate level. The Warriors girls' basketball program made multiple Final Four appearances over the last 12 years, culminating in a state title in 2008.  Jamierra Faulkner was a star for the Warriors during that era, and after signing with Southern Miss she was eventually drafted by the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. Danielle McCray led Trinity to their state title and signed a D1 scholarship with Ole Miss. She is now playing professionally in Germany.

Over the past year, the Trinity swimming program earned several individual state titles as well as multiple division one scholarships. State champion Chade Nersicio signed with powerhouse program University of Florida and Shauna Abair inked with St. Francis, another D1 program. Current swimmer Nicole Gomez is a division one commit to Southern Methodist University.

With a host of talented athletes currently at Trinity waiting to make their mark, the pipeline of collegiate athletes shows no signs of slowing down. TCA is proving that a small school can build a great program and help take committed athletes to the next level.
