TCA WINS THRILLER IN OPENER

LAKE WORTH- Trinity Christian opened the season with a thrilling, come-from-behind 55-49 over Florida Atlantic on Monday. The Warriors trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half before coming back to pick up the win before a huge home crowd.

Junior Jovonte Allen returned to Trinity this year after playing his freshman year for the Warriors, and he made a splash in his first game back. The 6'4" forward scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Senior Joshua Joseph overcame a slow start to power the Warriors comeback in the second half, dropping 18 points on FAU.  Junior Tristan Gee was in foul trouble early but was able to score 13 points and pulled in seven rebounds.

The Warriors will play in the Highlands Christian tournament all this week.  They open play on Monday night against rival Lake Worth Christian.
