BOYNTON BEACH- Exactly one month ago, Berean Christian rolled past the Trinity Christian volleyball team in straight sets without a challenge.  The Warriors flipped the script on Thursday night in the district semifinals, however, as they stunned the Bulldogs 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 26-24.  With the win, TCA advances to Friday night's championship game against host Lake Worth Christian.

Trinity's improved net play was key in the victory over Berean.  The Warriors put away points consistently throughout the night with freshman Gianna Basileo leading the way with seven kills and two blocks.  TCA also had a good night serving the volleyball as they piled up 20 aces.  Freshman Sammantha Monier led the team with five aces.

With the win, the Warriors have clinched a spot in the regional playoffs regardless of the outcome of Friday night's championship match.  If TCA pulls off an upset of the Defenders, they will take on Highlands Christian in the regional round.  If the Warriors lose to LWC, they will play District 14 champion Boca Christian in the regionals.  Friday night's game is slated for 7:00 pm and will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
