LAKE WORTH- Trinity Christian cross country made history in more ways than one on Thursday night.  Not only did they host the first on-campus race in school history, the Warriors picked up the first team win ever.  TCA (32 points) overcame Jupiter Christian (39 points), Berean Christian (67 points), and Lake Worth Chistian (123 points) to pick up the historic win.  All five boys runners finished in the top 10.

Eighth grader Chris Gunterman made a big splash in his first ever varsity race, taking second place with a time of 22:10. Freshman Logan Fyke, also running his first varsity race, finished a solid fifth for the Warriors with a mark of 22:42.  Senior Jaiden Santiago (7th), junior Luke D'Orazio (8th), and junior Xavier Jackson (10th) rounded out an excellent showing for Trinity.

In the girls race, TCA's lone runner junior Eva Zelaya took second place.  She cut her time from last season by over five minutes in Thursday's race.

Trinity will host Berean, Lake Worth, and Highlands Christian next Thursday afternoon.  Highlands finished a strong fourth place at districts last year and will present a tough challenge for the Warriors.  The race time is scheduled for 4:15 pm and spectators are permitted to attend if social distancing is observed.
